Formed in a suburb of Chicago in 2001, Fall Out Boy is one of the more popular modern bands on the emo rock scene. Originally part of the hardcore scene, bandmates Patrick Stump, Pete Wentz, Joe Trohman, and Andy Hurley evolved their sound over time, bringing a pop-punk influence into their music.
Their major breakout album, 2005's From Under the Cork Trees, brought Fall Out Boy more public attention with hit singles "Sugar, We're Goin' Down" and "Dance, Dance." After breaking to decompress in 2009, the band returned in 2013 with Save Rock and Roll and has resumed selling-out venues ever since.
